Home Nuclear Power: for some reason when this statement is made some people shudder, why? Maybe because of the possibility of disaster or because for a large part of society Nuclear Power is still an enigma. We are going to explore the history, current use, and future innovations of Nuclear Power.
History:

The Nuclear Power story begins for us during World War II (late 1930's through mid 1940's) when both the Allies and the Axis were trying to find the weapon to end the war. Some giants of Physics worked on this new thing called Atomic Power, including Einstein, Fermi, Szilard, and Allison to name a few. The National laboratories worked in secret to develop a sustained nuclear reaction.

Current Uses:

The number of uses has increased steadily over the years. Besides weapons of mass destruction here are a few of the common uses for nuclear technology: agricultural, power, medicinal, space programs, physical and chemical science.

What’s Next?:

With the unsettled situation in the Middle East, record setting storms in the Gulf of Mexico, and a national energy crisis that has been visible especially in California, new clean inexpensive sources of power are paramount.
